Pall Mall Neckwear was founded in April 1949 by Anne and Rudi Landecker. With Anne’s skill as a seamstress and Rudi’s passion for sales, the couple built a business rooted in quality and craftsmanship. Using the finest imported fabrics from Germany and Switzerland, Anne handmade each tie while Rudi travelled the country selling them alongside his shoe range one customer at a time.
Rudi’s brother owned a tie company in Cape Town called Lord Tie, which Rudi eventually acquired. From there, the family business continued to grow. Rudi and Anne’s daughters, Evelyn and Joan, played an important role in the legacy, Evelyn and her husband Eppie managed Lord Tie in Cape Town before immigrating, while Joan and her husband Bill Freedman took the reins of Pall Mall in Durban.
After Bill’s passing in 2005, Joan and her daughter Tracey carried the torch. Tracey continued to guide the business, always consulting Joan for her experience, insight, and the values that shaped Pall Mall from the start.
In 2021, Pall Mall Neckwear entered a new chapter under the ownership of Kerusha Munian, carrying forward a legacy of craftsmanship, family tradition, and timeless style.

In our corporate garment and tie division, cutting-edge dye sublimation equipment from Italy ensures vibrant, even, and long-lasting prints that meet the highest quality standards. We’ve also recently added a Fortune wide format printer, which expands our capabilities in producing custom designs and high-resolution prints for ties and apparel.
We are especially grateful to our exceptional suppliers and consultants, whose expertise and guidance have been instrumental in helping us source and implement the most advanced machinery available.
Following our move to a new facility, we are working closely with industry specialists to integrate World Class Manufacturing (WCM) processes. These efforts are helping us streamline operations, adopt best practices, and elevate plant efficiency, ensuring Pall Mall continues to lead with innovation, quality, and craftsmanship.
